ROAR Art Show | Russell, KS
Since 1969, the ROAR Show (Russell's Original Art Review) has given Kansas artists the opportunity to show and sell their work as well as compete for prize money. Visitors last year viewed over 250 works of art by professional and amateur Kansas artists in categories including watercolor, oil, sculpture, and mixed media.
2012 Art Show
The exhibition will be held at the 4-H Building on the Russell County Fairgrounds. The entries can viewed by the public October 12-13 from 9 AM until 9 PM and October 14 from 9 AM until 4 PM. Art media includes oil, watercolor, acrylic, sculpture, pastels, photography, ceramics, and computer generated works.
Members of the Russell community volunteer over 500 hours of their time to organize and receive works, display works and promote the show to artists, educational institutions and the public. Prize money is raised from entry fees and private or corporate donations. It is my privilege to extend to you the opportunity to support this worthwhile endeavor.
The ROAR Show receives no government funds. Please support the arts by sending your donation made payable to the ROAR Show to P.O. Box 94, Russell, KS 67665, or hand it to a Committee Member. Thank you for your support.
